SpectraCommand Privacy Policy

SpectraCommand has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs beyond the one optional feature described below. Almost everything the app does happens entirely on your device. There is one deliberate exception: the optional live AI voice co-pilot.

Core features: nothing leaves your device

Creating investigations, logging events, running any of the 9 field protocols, importing SpectraBox/SpectraEMF/SpectraWave session exports, computing evidence integrity scores, the Debunking Matrix, and generating a report all work with no network connection at all. This is enforced in our own test suite, not just a promise: the core code that handles your investigation data is scanned automatically for any networking code, and the build fails if any is ever added.

The optional AI voice co-pilot: what is different

SpectraCommand Pro includes an optional live voice co-pilot, built on OpenAI's Realtime API. It is off by default and stays off until you explicitly enable it in AI Setup and Privacy. When you start a co-pilot session:

• Live microphone audio is streamed to OpenAI for the duration of that session. This is how real-time voice conversation works and cannot be avoided while a session is active; it stops the moment you end the session.
• Structured summaries, timestamps, and event metadata may be sent so the co-pilot can respond usefully (for example, the zones and event types in your current investigation).
• Full evidence recordings, photos, and video clips are never uploaded automatically. Only short, user-approved snippets are ever sent, and only if you separately opt in to raw evidence uploads in AI Setup and Privacy. This opt-in is off by default and is independent of turning the co-pilot on.
• The app enforces a visible monthly minutes cap on live AI sessions and never promises unlimited AI usage.

We do not operate a server that stores your investigation data. Our backend's only job is exchanging a short-lived, single-session credential with OpenAI so the app never holds a long-lived API key; it does not see or store your audio, your evidence, or your investigation data.

Where your data lives

Your investigations, timeline events, and evidence records are stored on your device. If iCloud is available and you enable sync (a Pro feature), your data may also be stored in your personal, private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple. We have no access to it, and no sign-in is required.

Microphone

The microphone is used only for the optional live voice co-pilot. Audio is not recorded or stored by SpectraCommand itself outside of that live session, and the app never listens in the background.

Purchases

The optional one-time SpectraCommand Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We receive no payment details. Because it is a one-time purchase, there is nothing to cancel.

Your control

You can export your investigation timeline and reports at any time, keep the AI co-pilot permanently off (every core feature works without it), and erase everything by deleting the app (and removing SpectraCommand data from iCloud in iOS Settings, if you enabled sync).
